Since the extension and alterations have been made at Sunflower framing, business could'nt be better.
People have been astonished at the transformation of the gallery with the addition of the new work shop.
It's no more working in a cold workshop for Sunflower Framings experienced framer Paul Bryant anymore. Paul has been at Sunflower for 5 years and has been involved with most of the moves, now totalling 4 from one drafty workshop usually on a farm to another.
Paul said " I'm really pleased with the new extension, we have designed it to incorporate all the latest machinery, including a Hotpress and wall mounted cutter, now everything is at hand and the time saving has been tremendous"
At one stage it was thought that Sunflower was going to loose the reclaimed timber frame business that had gained the company such recognition on the interiors market, customers such as Conran Shops have been buying the products for years. At the last minute it was relocated to the Isle of Wight where a new team are preparing the wood and continuing to make the beautiful Barnoak Frames unique to Sunflower Framing.
Plans for the Future? well a teaming up with Sunflowers sister company Diyframing Ltd is on the cards as plans are in hand to operate a diy framing mail order and internet business from the flat above the shop. Courses will also be held in the new year offering a new dimention to the business.
